Funny Things That Happen When You Turn 40

Freaking out about when you turn 40? Relax…!!! There are plenty of things that do happen when you turn 40. Things you will embrace, things you will celebrate, and things that will have you freaking out begging for your 30s back. Sorry, no refunds. Check out my favorite things that happen when you turn 40 (from own experience):     1. It’s OK to change how you use Facebook. No party pictures anymore! You share pictures of your garden, the no gluten lemon cake you baked last night and your healthy smoothies. 2.  You make an ‘oof’ noise when getting up. That straining sound you always heard older people make – and wondered whether it was strictly necessary? It is. 3. You forget to turn off the lights more often than usual 4. You worrying, endlessly. About whether things have been left on at home. Like: “Did I definitely leave my passport/tickets/wallet at home?” or  “Did I

The Cheeky Punk-Look With A Pink Leather Mini Skirt

Posted on

I would like to bring the punk-look into my everyday wardrobe this season. What could be more perfect than a leather mini skirt!?   I did a little research to find some appropriate items to style an authentic punk-look. If you’re looking for a good, no-questions-asked punk look, too, there are a few main tenets that have withstood the test of time. Play up your feminine side by juxtaposing it with masculine items. Sexy fishnets and a loose tees or mini skirt with

Hey Passenger- Embrace Your Own Journey

Posted on

As a “passenger” I embrace the journey of my own life whatever that might be.             I am totally happy that my journey has brought me to this clothing brand. Not only because they create eco friendly, cool clothes, but also they want to inspire people to find their own path, push their boundaries and embrace their own journey.  The heart of the Label “Passenger” is escapism, a constant desire to get off grid, wander, travel to connect with people and nature.  In this time more and more eco friendly brands are popping up, and more and more existing brands are creating sustainable and ethical collections or doing their part to implement greener business practices. Which means that it’s easier than ever for us, as consumers, to contribute to the health of the environment.  By supporting sustainable brands, we’re helping to ensure that their success will encourage more

How to transform a men’s shirt to a cute summer dress

Posted on

As a dressmaker I wondered what it is about men’s shirt that inspires such creativity in women?   Thats why I did a little research and I found a lot of amasing tutorials on how to refashion men’s shirts. I felt like to sew as well a dress like these and I tried out a summer off-the-shoulder version. After that first try, I can say, it is quite simply and easy. You literally just cut the neck and shoulders off a men’s shirt and add elasticity to the top edge. Depending on how big your shirt is you can create dresses or tops. I was totally happy and freaked out because of the dress thats why I made some more, which I will give away one of them as soon as I have the time for it.  But if you want to be creative by yourself and you just started with it, try out
