Even in sunny Gran Canaria, you can start to notice when there’s a season change. Yesterday we had after a lot of month the first rain. Sometimes it feels like an endless summer, but as fall gets closer there are days when you need a cozy cardigan for chilly nights. A good thing about the Canary Islands climate is, that you can wear a summer outfit in the day, and then throw on a light jacket in the evening/night.
I recently wore this cute last summer outfit and it’s perfect for these months where we’re kind of in-between seasons and don’t want to keep spending on summer items, but the weather still isn’t allowing us to bulk up on oversized knits. Stripes and pastel tones and tanned legs will always be classic. But the way you style the items decides the season. Since Gran Canaria is still on the warmer side, I pulled in some pretty apricot shorts (for showing my tanned legs ;-)…) with an off shoulder striped shirt to keep the things summery.
I paired the striped off shoulder shirt with the shorts and the plateau ankle tie sandals, a summery beach styled clutch and apricot colored cat eye shades. As jewelry I chose a choker and a fine golden necklace with a feather on. I love the bright and summery color scheme of my outfit. You too?
Every piece of my last summer outfit is so versatile! I also love a good, cozy cardigan to add a layer to this look. It is the easiest way to make a summer outfit transitional into Fall! You really can’t go wrong with this classic last summer outfit, which leaves room for endless possibilities of more combinations. In case you are interested, check out how I combined the shorts and clutch into a different look…HERE.
Hope you could get some inspirations of a last summer outfit. Next time I will prepare for you the most important “Must Haves” of the fall season 2017.
Stay tuned and till next time!!
