Meanwhile it’s almost a week ago, that we are back from our great trip to Cape Town. We had a wonderful time, as you could already see in a previous article (it will follow one or another…).
During my time in Cape Town, of course, I have paid attention to the style of that Capetonians or the so-called Cape Town-Look.
It’s difficult to pinpoint exactly what constitutes the Cape Town-Look since the city is so culturally diverse. But what is indeed clear is that Capetonians are adept at combining local influences with international trends to form their own unique style. The fashionistas love to wear retro clothing sourced from their mothers’ closets or second-hand shops.
Boasting a subtropical climate, Cape Town is populated with trendy beachfront bars, cafés and restaurants, so expect to see lots of denim, cotton or satin shorts, camis and tees paired with flip-flops like Havaianas, sandals, sneakers or short boots.
This kind of city-beachwear style is all about comfort and bohemian flair, so flowy kaftans, beach dresses and sexy playsuits or shorts in light fabrics are all the rage.
Get any of these light shorts paired with a cool tee and classic Vans, take your shades and you’ll be right on-trend for your next hang out in Cape Town.
Here, you can take a look at the items of my Cape Town-Look.
I hope you like it… 😉
